Minhee Kim received both her BFA and MFA in fiber arts from Ewha Woman’s University before earning an MA in Textiles from Royal College of Art. Grounded in an extensive background in fiber arts, Minhee Kim’s art transcends the material itself to transform our encounter with substance and form. Through her innovative technique of constructing translucent yet tangible objects, she materializes memory and its lingering presence in our lives. Drawing from memories that persist as impressions rather than precise recollections, her work simultaneously retraces and reconstructs, reflecting how memory shapes, alters, and continually remakes us.
